A Site for Language Lovers
What is the best supplement to a language learning app or in-person class? What is the fastest way to improve your language skills? Which way is the most fun? Reading.
Joining a book club is a delightful and effective way to learn a foreign language. It provides a structured yet flexible environment where language learners can immerse themselves in literature, engage in meaningful discussions, and enhance their language skills in a social setting. Language Club is an online book club for language lovers and we’re currently beta testing the concept. See below for more details and how to join.

Join a Book Club!
We’re testing a new online language book club. Learning a foreign language with an app has been very popular in recent years. However, once you finish the program, there isn’t an obvious next step. Or if you want to supplement the program with reading after you become somewhat proficient, it is hard to know what to start with. And Language Club was born.
We’re conducting a two phase test. Learn more here.
Phase 1: we’re looking for about 20-25 Spanish learners that are at the A2-B1 level. If you’re outside of this level, that’s okay, but it may be very difficult or very easy. Deadline: Friday, August 12, 2024.
Phase 2: 80-100 people to fill 4-5 book clubs. Languages for phase 2 will be based on demand. Deadline: Friday, September 13, 2024.
There is no cost during the testing phase.
Be a Guide
Is there a book that you love? And are you a native speaker or fluent in that book’s language? Maybe it is Don Quixote in the native Spanish, Faust in German or The Art of War in Japanese. Be a guide for a book club and share your love with others.
While there is no cost to anyone during the testing period, we will be sharing revenue with guides once we officially launch. So share your love of books and make some money!

Join us in the forums
While reading is an incredible way to improve your language skills, it is only one of four skills you will need to master to gain fluency (writing, speaking and listening are the other three). If you use immersive reading, you can also practice listening.
In the Language Club forums, you can practice writing while meeting other like-minded people. Join the Community!
This website is under construction
We are currently testing the concept of a language book club. This is a temporary site that is helping us conduct the test.
