Assessment Websites

If you’d like to assess your language skills, here are some sites that can help. We don’t make any claims as to the veracity of any of them.

Multiple Languages

A great place to start is the United States Defense Language Institute’s Online Diagnostic Assessment (ODA). Their tests are fairly comprehensive compared to other online evaluation tools, but they don’t have every language. They can test the following:

It’s always a good idea to verify the credibility of the assessment before using it for formal language proficiency evaluation. Additionally, some languages may have limited resources for online assessment compared to others.

If you have other assessment tools for any language, leave them in the comments below and we’ll add them.
